Rossville Varsity Hornets got on the board in the top of the first inning after McDonald doubled down the left field line, and Darnell grounded out, each scoring one run. Peru Varsity Tigers jumped into the lead in the bottom of the first when Rodriguez singled, scoring one run, and Heyob laid down a sacrifice bunt, scoring three runs. Peru Varsity Tigers added one run in the third. Rossville Varsity Hornets committed an error, making the score 5-3. Skinner singled to center field, which helped Rossville Varsity Hornets tie the game at five in the top of the fourth. Evans earned the win for Peru Varsity Tigers. The hurler surrendered four hits and two runs over four innings, striking out four and walking three. Wainscott took the loss for Rossville Varsity Hornets.
