Varsity vs Bluffton High School (8 - 11) Loss Bellar collected three hits in four at bats, but Peru Varsity Tigers lost to TBD- 04/11/26, 12:30 PM 11-8 on Saturday at TBD. Bellar singled in the third inning, doubled in the fifth inning, and singled in the sixth inning. Peru Varsity Tigers lost despite out-hitting TBD- 04/11/26, 12:30 PM 10 to eight. Bellar led Peru Varsity Tigers with three hits. TBD- 04/11/26, 12:30 PM got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Arnold doubled, scoring two runs, and Morgan hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run. TBD- 04/11/26, 12:30 PM scored four runs in the bottom of the second on a grand slam to left field by Beste. TBD- 04/11/26, 12:30 PM added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Strevler walked, and Beste singled down the right field line, each scoring one run. Peru Varsity Tigers collected 10 hits in the game. Braley went 2-for-3 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. Hiles collected two hits for Peru Varsity Tigers in four at bats. Varsity vs ROSSVILLE MIDDLE/SR HIGH SCHOOL (6 - 5) Win Peru Varsity Tigers beat Rossville Varsity Hornets 6-5 on Saturday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at five in the bottom of the fifth when one run scored on a balk. Rossville Varsity Hornets got on the board in the top of the first inning after McDonald doubled down the left field line, and Darnell grounded out, each scoring one run. Peru Varsity Tigers jumped into the lead in the bottom of the first when Rodriguez singled, scoring one run, and Heyob laid down a sacrifice bunt, scoring three runs. Peru Varsity Tigers added one run in the third. Rossville Varsity Hornets committed an error, making the score 5-3. Skinner singled to center field, which helped Rossville Varsity Hornets tie the game at five in the top of the fourth. Evans earned the win for Peru Varsity Tigers. The hurler surrendered four hits and two runs over four innings, striking out four and walking three. Wainscott took the loss for Rossville Varsity Hornets. The reliever went four innings, allowing two runs on four hits, striking out four and walking four. Boswell started on the hill for Peru Varsity Tigers. The hurler gave up three hits and three runs over three innings, striking out one and walking two. Faucett started on the bump for Rossville Varsity Hornets. The starting pitcher allowed one hit and four runs (three earned) over one inning, striking out none and walking two. Rodriguez went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Peru Varsity Tigers in hits. Heyob and Rodriguez each drove in one run for Peru Varsity Tigers. Bellar led Peru Varsity Tigers with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, tallying seven walks for the game.
