Junior Varsity vs Delphi Community High Sch (2 - 12) Loss Strong Hitting Not Enough As Peru Junior Varsity Tigers Falls To Delphi Community By GameChanger Media Even though Peru Junior Varsity Tigers collected seven hits to Delphi Community's five, they still fell 12-2 on Wednesday. Ashton Morehead, Mason McGuire, Braxton Caldwell, Hudson Wright, Eli Correll, Lucas Rodriguez, and Bryce Brower each collected one hit for Peru Junior Varsity Tigers. Delphi Community got on the board in the top of the second inning after Ryland Robertson walked, Dallen Sanson hit into a fielder's choice, and Tayte Bernhardt hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run. Delphi Community scored five runs on zero hits in the top of the sixth inning. Layton Pickering drew a walk, scoring one run, Jax Fassnacht drew a walk, scoring one run, and Drake Jones grounded out, scoring three runs. Dawson Babbs pitched four innings in relief for Peru Junior Varsity Tigers. The righty gave up three hits and four runs (zero earned) while, striking out two and walking two. Brower led things off on the hill for Peru Junior Varsity Tigers. The right-handed pitcher surrendered two hits and three runs over one inning, striking out none and walking three. Mason Smith led things off on the hill for Delphi Community. The starting pitcher surrendered three hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out three and walking none. Brower led Peru Junior Varsity Tigers with one run batted in. The left-handed hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. Robertson led Delphi Community with three runs batted in from the number nine spot in the lineup. The outfielder went 1-for-2 on the day. Robertson, Smith, Bernhardt, Fassnacht, and Pickering each collected one hit for Delphi Community. Delphi Community had patience at the plate, amassing 10 walks for the game.
