Middle School vs Oak Hill Junior High School (4 - 10) Loss Peru Jr High Tigers Stymied By Oak Hill Golden Eagles JH By GameChanger Media Peru Jr High Tigers couldn't keep up with Oak Hill Golden Eagles JH and fell 10-4 on Thursday at Oak Hill . Peru Jr High Tigers got on the board in the top of the first inning after Pierce Babbs tripled down the left field line, and Hunter Durocher grounded out, each scoring one run. Oak Hill Golden Eagles JH jumped into the lead in the bottom of the first when Naseer Ajamu tripled, scoring one run, Quinn Woodmansee doubled, scoring one run, and an error scored two runs. Peru Jr High Tigers tied the game in the top of the second thanks to a single by Babbs, and a triple by Durocher. Oak Hill Golden Eagles JH took the lead in the bottom of the second. Ajamu singled, scoring one run, to give Oak Hill Golden Eagles JH the advantage, 5-4. Durocher stepped on the hill first for Peru Jr High Tigers. The hurler allowed six hits and five runs (three earned) over four innings, striking out four and walking one. Ajamu began the game for Oak Hill Golden Eagles JH. The pitcher gave up five hits and four runs over two innings, striking out three and walking three. Durocher and Babbs were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for Peru Jr High Tigers. Babbs led Peru Jr High Tigers with two hits in three at bats. Jayvier Hunt led Peru Jr High Tigers with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, tallying eight walks for the game. Babbs stole two bases. Oak Hill Golden Eagles JH piled up 14 hits in the game. Woodmansee and Ajamu were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in three runs for Oak Hill Golden Eagles JH. Ajamu went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Oak Hill Golden Eagles JH in hits. Hunter Chism collected two hits for Oak Hill Golden Eagles JH in three at bats.
