Braley hit a home run to left field in the third inning, singled in the second inning, and singled in the first inning. Peru Varsity Tigers got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Rodriguez laid down a sacrifice bunt, and Whitney walked, each scoring one run. Peru Varsity Tigers added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Braley singled to center field, Bellar doubled to center field, Musser doubled to center field, and Evans laid down a sacrifice bunt, each scoring one run. Peru Varsity Tigers extended their early lead with four runs in the bottom of the third thanks to home runs by Braley and Musser. Musser earned the win for Peru Varsity Tigers. The starter gave up two hits and two runs over three innings, striking out three and walking four. Howard took the loss for Caston. The starting pitcher went two innings, allowing six runs on seven hits, striking out two and walking three. Rodriguez threw two innings of shutout ball for Peru Varsity Tigers in relief. The right-handed pitcher surrendered two hits, striking out three and walking one. Peru Varsity Tigers accumulated 14 hits in the game. Bellar and Braley were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected three hits for Peru Varsity Tigers while hitting back-to-back.
