Varsity vs Lewis Cass (1 - 12) Loss Peru Varsity Tigers With Tough Loss By GameChanger Media Peru Varsity Tigers had trouble keeping up in a 12-1 loss on Wednesday. Lewis Cass got on the board early in the top of the first inning after a pair of singles and an error brought in four runs. Lewis Cass added to their lead in the third inning, taking advantage of multiple errors along with a triple to score additional runs and extend the margin. Bailee Kintner started in the circle for Peru Varsity Tigers, allowing 11 hits and 10 runs (five earned) over four innings while striking out five and walking none. The opposing pitcher allowed just one hit and one run (unearned) over five innings, striking out 10 and walking three. Lilly Steele led Peru Varsity Tigers at the plate, going 1-for-3. Lewis Cass finished with 13 hits in the game, with several players collecting multiple hits. Peru Varsity Tigers return home Monday to face Southwood in their next game.
