Varsity vs Lewis Cass (11 - 4) Win Peru Varsity Tigers won big over Lewis Cass 11-4 on Wednesday. Lewis Cass got on the board in the top of the first inning after Walker grounded into a fielder's choice, and Goldsberry grounded out, each scoring one run. Peru Varsity Tigers flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fourth, scoring five runs on four hits to take the lead, 6-2. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Musser that drove in two. Evans earned the win for Peru Varsity Tigers. The pitcher allowed four hits and three runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking four. Walker took the loss for Lewis Cass. The pitcher went three and two-thirds innings, surrendering six runs on six hits, striking out three and walking one. Boswell appeared in relief for Peru Varsity Tigers. Peru Varsity Tigers accumulated 13 hits in the game. Musser, Evans, and Musser each collected two hits for Peru Varsity Tigers. Musser led Peru Varsity Tigers with three runs batted in. The left-handed hitter went 2-for-2 on the day. Walker drove the middle of the lineup, leading Lewis Cass with two runs batted in. Catnas Graves went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Lewis Cass in hits.
