Peru Tigers got on the board in the top of the first inning after Jocelyn C singled to center field, and Layla R grounded out, each scoring one run. Rochester middle school took the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Heidi S grounded out, Sophia J walked, #1 was struck by a pitch, and #3 was struck by a pitch, each scoring one run. Peru Tigers jumped back into the lead in the top of the second inning after Kinzie N singled, Jocelyn singled, Layla walked, and Maddie K was struck by a pitch, each scoring one run. #1 scored after tagging up, which helped Rochester middle school tie the game at six in the bottom of the third. Peru Tigers jumped back into the lead in the top of the fourth inning after Layla laid down a sacrifice bunt, and Maddie grounded out, each scoring one run. Jocelyn earned the win for Peru Tigers. The hurler gave up two hits and two runs (one earned) over two innings, striking out four and walking none. Harper R took the loss for Rochester middle school.
