Junior Varsity vs Northfield Jr-Sr High School (3 - 11) Loss Peru Junior Varsity Tigers Fall After Strong Showing By Northfield By GameChanger Media Peru Junior Varsity Tigers couldn't keep up with Northfield and fell 11-3 on Thursday. Peru Junior Varsity Tigers got on the board in the first inning after Logan Rogers singled, scoring one run. Brennan Swan walked, which helped Northfield tie the game at one in the bottom of the second. A wild pitch gave Peru Junior Varsity Tigers the lead, 3-1, in the top of the third. Northfield flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the third, scoring five runs on one hit to take the lead, 6-3. The biggest blow in the inning was a steal of home by Chase Ross that drove in two. Northfield scored five runs on three hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Schnupel doubled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, Breckon Floor doubled, scoring two runs, and an error scored one run. Max Bielanski stepped on the bump first for Peru Junior Varsity Tigers. The lefty gave up two hits and one run (zero earned) over one and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking one. Floor started on the mound for Northfield. The hurler surrendered six hits and three runs over five innings, striking out seven and walking five. Rogers and Lucas Rodriguez were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Peru Junior Varsity Tigers. Rogers went 2-for-3 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Dawsen Babbs stole two bases. Floor provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Northfield with three runs batted in.
