Big Second Inning Leads Wabash MS Past Peru Tigers By GameChanger Media Wabash MS defeated Peru Tigers 14-0 on Wednesday thanks in part to 12 runs in the second inning. Wabash MS got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Peru Tigers committed an error, and Lainey M singled down the left field line, each scoring one run. Wabash MS scored 12 runs on nine hits in the bottom of the second inning. Myla J singled, scoring one run, Maddy S hit an inside the park home run, scoring three runs, Paycen S tripled, scoring one run, one run scored on a dropped third strike, Hayden B singled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, Maddy singled, scoring two runs, Kassie D singled, scoring one run, and Paycen tripled, scoring one run. Morgan Z earned the win for Wabash MS. The starter allowed three hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out nine and walking two. Jocelyn C took the loss for Peru Tigers. The pitcher went four innings, surrendering 14 runs (five earned) on 11 hits, striking out 11 and walking one. Jocelyn went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Peru Tigers in hits. Wabash MS piled up 11 hits in the game. Maddy went 3-for-4 at the plate and led the team with five runs batted in. Paycen collected two hits for Wabash MS in three at bats.
