Via Game Changer Recap Peru Varsity Tigers lost to Culver Academies 7-4 on Thursday. Culver Academies were the first to get on the board in the first when Oliver-Overmyer hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run. Culver Academies added one run in the second. Grundberg singled down the left field line, making the score 2-0. Culver Academies added one run in the third after Oliver-Overmyer singled down the left field line. Chaney earned the win for Culver Academies. The starter allowed two hits and one run over five innings, striking out three and walking one. Braley pitched four innings in relief for Peru Varsity Tigers. The hurler surrendered four hits and four runs while, striking out four and walking three. Evans took the loss for Peru Varsity Tigers. The righty went two innings, giving up three runs (two earned) on five hits, striking out none and walking three. Hiles, Musser, Braley, Ulery, and Musser each collected one hit for Peru Varsity Tigers. Bellar, Evans, Braley, and Ulery each drove in one run for Peru Varsity Tigers. Peru Varsity Tigers were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Musser made the most plays with six. Culver Academies tallied nine hits in the game.
