🥎Junior High Softball Wins 15-13 over Whitko Peru Tigers Earn Walk-Off Win Over Whitko Middle School 8th By GameChanger Media Peru Tigers took Monday's game in dramatic fashion, with a 15-13 walk-off victory over Whitko Middle School 8th. The game was tied at 13 in the bottom of the sixth when Bella L doubled, scoring two runs. Peru Tigers collected 12 hits and Whitko Middle School 8th had 15 in the high-scoring affair. Whitko Middle School 8th opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to three singles. Whitko Middle School 8th first got on the board when Lex S singled, scoring one run. Whitko Middle School 8th scored six runs on five hits in the top of the second inning. S N grounded out, scoring one run, H P doubled, scoring one run, an error scored two runs, and E B tripled, scoring two runs. Whitko Middle School 8th added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Lex singled to center field, Peru Tigers committed an error, and M. C scored after tagging up, each scoring one run. Peru Tigers flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the sixth, scoring eight runs on five hits to take the lead, 15-13. The biggest blow in the inning was a walk by Jocelyn C that drove in two. Jocelyn earned the win for Peru Tigers. The pitcher surrendered 15 hits and 13 runs (five earned) over six innings, striking out 10 and walking one. #20 took the loss for Whitko Middle School 8th. The hurler went two and one-third innings, allowing 12 runs (nine earned) on nine hits, striking out three and walking six. E. R led things off in the circle for Whitko Middle School 8th. The hurler surrendered one hit and zero runs over two innings, striking out two and walking none. Peru Tigers collected 12 hits in the game. Alli S, Layla R, Bella, and Raymi C each collected two hits for Peru Tigers. Layla went 2-for-3 at the plate and led the team with three runs batted in. Jocelyn led Peru Tigers with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, piling up nine walks for the game. Alli stole three bases. Peru Tigers stole six bases in the game. Whitko Middle School 8th tallied 15 hits in the game. H provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Whitko Middle School 8th with three runs batted in. The infielder went 2-for-4 on the day.
