⚾️Junior Varsity Baseball Wins 15-2 Over Rochester Big First Inning Leads Peru Junior Varsity Tigers Past Rochester Junior Varsity Zebras By GameChanger Media Peru Junior Varsity Tigers defeated Rochester Junior Varsity Zebras 15-2 on Tuesday thanks in part to nine runs in the first inning. Ashton Morehead singled, scoring one run, Mason McGuire singled, scoring one run, Eli Correll drew a walk, scoring one run, Braxton Caldwell singled, scoring one run, Bryce Brower singled, scoring one run, Dawsen Babbs doubled, scoring two runs, and Morehead singled, scoring two runs. Peru Junior Varsity Tigers added one run in the second. Babbs doubled down the left field line, making the score 10-0. Peru Junior Varsity Tigers extended their early lead with two runs in the top of the third thanks to RBI singles by Logan Rogers and Caldwell. Babbs led things off on the bump for Peru Junior Varsity Tigers. The starting pitcher allowed two hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out five and walking none. Camden Zink started the game for Rochester Junior Varsity Zebras. The pitcher surrendered three hits and one run over one-third of an inning, striking out one and walking none. Morehead threw one and two-thirds innings of zero-run ball for Peru Junior Varsity Tigers in relief. The pitcher gave up zero hits, striking out three and walking one. Peru Junior Varsity Tigers piled up 13 hits in the game. Babbs went 2-for-4 at the plate and led the team with three runs batted in.
