GAME 1 ⚾️Junior High Baseball Wins 10-2 Over Triton Peru Jr High Tigers Roll Past Triton Jr High School By GameChanger Media Peru Jr High Tigers won big over Triton Jr High School 10-2 on Tuesday at Tiger Field. A double by Isaac Church put Peru Jr High Tigers on the board in the bottom of the first. Jace Faucett doubled down the left field line on an 0-2 count, which helped Triton Jr High School tie the game at one in the top of the second. Peru Jr High Tigers took the lead in the bottom of the second. Kody Daily singled, scoring one run, to give Peru Jr High Tigers the advantage, 2-1. Drew Barker walked, which helped Triton Jr High School tie the game at two in the top of the third. Peru Jr High Tigers jumped into the lead in the bottom of the third when Pierce Babbs homered to left field, scoring two runs, Liam Hoover singled, scoring one run, and Hunter Durocher doubled, scoring one run. Durocher started on the hill for Peru Jr High Tigers. The hurler gave up three hits and two runs (one earned) over five innings, striking out three and walking four. Barker started on the mound for Triton Jr High School. The starting pitcher surrendered 12 hits and 10 runs (nine earned) over four innings, striking out five and walking two. Peru Jr High Tigers tallied 12 hits in the game. Hoover drove the middle of the lineup, leading Peru Jr High Tigers with three runs batted in. The outfielder went 2-for-3 on the day. Church went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Peru Jr High Tigers in hits. Durocher and Babbs each collected multiple hits for Peru Jr High Tigers. GAME 2 ⚾️Junior High Baseball Wins 9-8 Over Triton Walk-Off Seals The Deal In Peru Jr High Tigers Victory Over Triton Jr High School By GameChanger Media Peru Jr High Tigers took Tuesday's game in dramatic fashion, with a 10-8 walk-off victory over Triton Jr High School at Tiger Field. Peru Jr High Tigers were down 8-7 in the bottom of the third inning when Preston Almon singled, scoring three runs. Rory Donathan drove in four runners in the win. The pitcher went 2-3 on the day. Triton Jr High School jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Jonah Larrison grounded out, scoring one run, and Reed Eisemann singled, scoring two runs. Peru Jr High Tigers made the score 5-3 in the bottom of the second after Donathan singled, scoring two runs, Grayson Clark singled, scoring one run, and Colt Nordman grounded out, scoring one run. Triton Jr High School flipped the game on its head in the top of the third, scoring five runs on one hit to take the lead, 8-5. The biggest blow in the inning was a walk by Noah Scott that drove in two. Peru Jr High Tigers took the lead, 10-8, in the bottom of the third thanks to singles by Donathan, and Almon. Donathan started the game for Peru Jr High Tigers. The hurler gave up one hit and three runs over one inning, striking out one and walking six. Lukas Jones began the game for Triton Jr High School. The starting pitcher surrendered four hits and five runs over two innings, striking out two and walking four. Clark and Nordman each appeared in relief for Peru Jr High Tigers. Clark, Almon, and Donathan each collected two hits for Peru Jr High Tigers. Peru Jr High Tigers had a strong eye at the plate, collecting eight walks for the game. Kaden McGuire and Nordman led the team with two free passes each. Peru Jr High Tigers didn't commit a single error in the field. Almon had the most chances in the field with six. Landon Bailey and Eisemann each collected one hit for Triton Jr High School. Bailey, Larrison, and Eisemann each drove in one run for Triton Jr High School. Triton Jr High School had patience at the plate, amassing 10 walks for the game. Scott and Trey Fear led the team with two free passes each.
